Awareness camp -cum- Kisan Mela held 8/30/2016 12:33:32 AM Early Times Report Leh, Aug 29: Awareness camp-cum-Kisan Mela held at indoor stadium Leh, organized by State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans in collaboration with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh. Vice Chairman Kisan Board Daljit Singh Chib presided over the function and Dr Sonam Dawa Lompo, Chief Executive Councilor Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council was Chief Guest. Chering Dorjey, Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, MLA Newang Rigzen Zohra was guest of honour. All the officers of Agriculture and allied departments were also present on the occasion. All the dignitaries impressed upon the farming community to use new and innovative agriculture technology to increase their agriculture growth. They said that it is the time of hybrid and a farmer should use the hybrid seeds so that they can generate and increase their income. They further said that more than 70 percent population in India is residing in villages and India cannot make any progress until the common farmers are not reform their fate by increasing their farm income.
