JAMMU, Sept 7: Mahant Bachiter Singh (MBS), MIET College and Post Graduate (PG) Departments of Arts teams advanced into the next round of the inter-college men's football competition winning their respective matches on the JU campus grounds, here today.
Earlier, MBS College defeated GDC Kathua 3-0. Manjot Singh (50th, 57th) and Sarabjyot Singh (54th) were the scorers. In other match, MIET College trounced GDC Poonch 3-2 in a close game making it 3-2. From MIET, Dheeraj played brilliant game netting all the three goals striking in the fourth, 10th and 36th minutes. From GDC Poonch, Gagandeep Singh scored in the 19th and 56th minute.
In another scheduled game, PG Arts defeated IDS Sehora 7-2 in a high scoring game. Shubham (4th, 45th), Hanzin (6th), Avinash (21st), Achal (37th), Gagan (40th) and Ayush Pandoh (55th) were the scorers. From IDS Sehora Shaheen (30th) and Ahtushum (50th) reduced the margin.
Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Suresh Gupta, Vijay Kumar, and Gagan Kumar. |
