Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 7: Keeping aside religions, caste, colour and creed, Jammu Citizen Forum (JCF)-a body comprising of intelligentsia, intellectuals and common man today held a 'Mega Bike Rally' in Jammu City in support of Indian Army and the security forces including the state police, who are fighting against the proxy war triggered by Pakistan in the Kashmir valley. According to press release, carrying tri-colour, over 3,000 youth and school children from across the Jammu Province here today reached Maulana Azad Stadium to participate in the rally held under the banner of Jammu Citizen Forum to highlight the role and sacrifices of our great and valiant army in Jammu and Kashmir. The Forum members stated that it is the contribution of valiant officers and Jawans of Indian Army since the dawn of Independence in preserving and safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India. The processionists amid slogans, 'Indian Army Zindabad,' 'vandematram', waving national flag, riding on hundreds of motorbikes, scooters and seated in cars took out the rally to express support to the Army and security forces, who despite performing their duties in turmoil hit Kashmir valley are not being acknowledged. A memorandum on behalf of Jammu Citizens Forum was submitted to the Divisional Commissioner by school students namely Mriga Sambyal of Heritage Public School and Aaryan Sharma of J K Public School which is to be forwarded to the Chief of Army Staff of India Dalbir Singh Suhag that people of Jammu are patriotic and have high esteem for the Indian Army and are proud of it. Raj Daluja Chairman J.K. Public School in his brief address said, "We are indebted to our armed forces for foiling the attempts of cunning enemy in our backyards, which has been trying worst to subjugate us." Now, when the State of Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a difficult phase with terrorism--aided, supported, funded and sponsored from across the border, raising its ugly head in different manifestations, adding, "We the people of Jammu wish to reassert our full support to the army, the para-military forces and the police in crushing the monster with iron fists". Appreciating the presentation of students and Jammu Citizens Forum, Divisional Commissioner Pawan Kotwal said the brave Indian Army has done everything to keep this great nation united. Besides, retired army officers, prominent citizen, those who were present include Zorawar Singh, General Secretary, Press Club of Jammu, Rakesh Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Raj Daluja, Chairman J.K.
