jammu, Sept 7: In an attempt to provide services to the tax payers at their door steps, Principal Commissioner Income Tax (PCIT) J&K, Jammu Ms Sangeeta Gupta today formally inaugurated New Income Tax Office at Rajouri in the presence of other officers of the department and large gathering from of citizens from Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Speaking on the occasion Ms Gupta said that the tax payers of Rajouri and Poonch districts earlier were facing lots of problems regarding filling of returns / settling of their grievances as they have to visit Jammu office. "But now with the commissioning of this office, their suffering shall have come to an end, she said.
Ppl Com IT J&K Ms Gupta said, "This office will facilitate the tax payers of Rajouri & Poonch districts and also shall bring Income tax office facilities at their door step."
Ms Sangeeta Gupta also chaired seminar on Income Declaration scheme held at Rajouri and Sunderbani which is attended by the members of Beopar mandal, Jewellers association, representatives of trade federation of Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri & Poonch, members of Bar association, professionals CA, Advocates & prominent citizens, members of business community.
Senior officers of J&K Bank and other departments namely Manzula Raizada, Prem Bhardwaj, P.S Jamwal, Parveen Sharma and Hans Raj.
Besides Ms Sangeeta Gupta PCIT J&K, SK Sharma JCIT Range II Jammu spoke at Rajouri while Hemant Gupta JCIT Range I Jammu spoke at Sunderbani. Senior IT officials said this will be a onetime opportunity to all those persons who have not declared their income correctly in the past and sleeping over the black money to come forward and declare such undisclosed income. |
