Woman dies, 6 injured in separate road mishaps | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: A woman was killed while six others received injured in two separate road mishaps on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Maheshwar area. He said early in the morning, an ill fated Alto Car bearing registration K11A-1281 skidded off the road when driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle resulting to injuries to all the five persons travelling in including a woman and two children. The injured were rushed to District Hospital where after preliminary treatment doctors referred all of them to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for advance treatment. Police sources said that one of the injured-Bala Rani (27) succumbed to injuries at GMC&H while others are under treatment. Police identified the injured as Romesh Singh (husband of the deceased), Sapna Devi (34) wife of Sudershan Singh, Sudershan Singh (41) and their 10-month-old son Gokul and 5-year-old daughter Ridhima, all residents of Bilawar. Meanwhile, police sources said that in another accident, an Alto Car bearing registration number JK21-2689 hit an unknown vehicle near Maheshwar area on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway resulting injuries to the driver of the vehicle. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Samba where he is under treatment. Samba Police have registered both the cases and further investigation is on. |
