PDP-Congress choose each other for Alliance in LAHDC | | | Early Times Report
Kargil, Sept 16: After huge political rift between PDP-Congress and National conference, PDP and Congress have decided to have alliance in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development council Kargil against National Conference. Meanwhile, Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan has become Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil today after 14 congress councillors and one independent Councillor has extend their support to him during the election of the CEC conducted by deputy commissioner Kargil. However the former Chief Executive Councillor Haji Haneefa Jan has accused the deputy commissioner Kargil for ignoring high court orders and advised him "not to indulge in such illegal process and honour of the direction of High court which is supreme in the law of democracy". Moreover, opposition National conference has boycotted the elections and termed it a illegal act. After elected as CEC Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan visited along with the councillors at Hill council Complex where he thanked Jammu and Legislative Council Chairman Haji Anayat and Member Legislative Assembly Kargil Asgar Karbalai. Speaking to his supporter he said, "I have done enough for Kargil earlier and will continue the same development process in future too". He also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and The chief Minister of the state Mehbooba Mutfi to restore peace and normalcy in Kashmir as soon as possible. He said, "People of Ladakh regions are also suffering due to unrest in the valley the peace is necessary". It's pertinent to mention here that the LAHDC Kargil has dissolved twice in past three year and Kacho Ahmed Khan has become the third chief executive councillor in three years. Due to which the development pace in Kargil has been badly affected. Even this year the annual district plan meet has not been taken place yet. |
