Anti-nationals, instigators to be booked by police | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Sept 16: After clear cut directions from the state and union government to act tough against instigators and those who are involved in anti national activities, police are finalizing a list of the people who had raised anti-national slogans on the eve of Eid-ud-Azha. Those who had already been booked in various FIRs were also likely to face the arrest in the coming days, police sources said. Police were scrutinizing the video and photographic evidences of the Eid procession to identify those who had raised anti-national and other objectionable slogans, besides provoke youth. A panicky situation was created in the town at a time when majority of the peace loving people were celebrating Eid with religious. A senior police officer said that there was no question of not registering any FIR against those who were involved in raising anti-national slogans before Eid nimaz and during the procession that followed the nimaz. The police were identifying the real culprits, he added. He didn't rule out the arrest of the accused named in previous FIRs or whose names surfaced during investigation of eid procession. Sources said that in addition to the earlier one, another list of government employees involved in anti-national activities and who had taken part in protests had been prepared with the joint efforts of various intelligence agencies. The action would start in next few days, he informed. |
