Book culprits of Rajouri incident, CCI to Dy CM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: Chamber of Commerce and Industries today called upon the Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and apprised him about the decision of the business community of Rajouri not to open their business establishments unless and until the compensation is provided to the effected shopkeepers. The CCI also said that the goons, anti-national elements involved in the incident should be booked, arrested and put behind the bars. Chamber in a meeting held today condemned the incident of torching of business establishments of a particular community at Rajouri on Sept 14 which were ransacked and damaged by miscreants and anti-national elements over there. In a meeting held here today, CCI demanded that the goons, anti-national elements involved in the incident be booked and put behind the bars immediately and the people whose shops, property has been gutted, or damaged in the incident be provided adequate compensation without any further delay. The Chamber also requested the administration to take some strong steps to restore normalcy in the Rajouri district. Nirmal Singh has assured that he will personally look into the matter and adequate compensation will be given to the effected shopkeepers and we will see that the goons who have done this coward act are put behind the bars. The meeting of the office bearers of Chamber was chaired by Sham Lal Langer, senior vice president and attended by Deepak Aggarwal, junior vice president, Arun Gupta, secretary general, Rahul Mahajan, secretary and Ashu Gupta, treasurer. |
