Hindi Diwas celebrated | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 16: The students and staff of Rich Harvest School Bari Brahmana celebrated Hindi Diwas in the school to mark the importance of the country's most widely spoken language. Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 every year. A special assembly marked the occasion with a speech highlighting the birth of Hindi followed by recitation of Kabir's Dohey, Rahim's Dohey and Thulasidas's Dohey by students of various classes. Hindi poems were sung, and students spoke on the importance of the language in the contemporary society. The day ended with the handwriting competition and every child learnt to speak a few lines in Hindi. Principal Anita Bhatia encouraged the students to learn and use the language in its correct form.
