Killing of 17 Solider in Uri attack widely condemned | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept. 18: Deadly attack on Camp at Uri widely condemned by various social and political organizations, in which 17 soldier attainted martyrdom, while 30 were injured. Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has expressed grief and sorrow over the killing of soldiers in a deadly militant attack on Army Base Camp at Uri in early morning today. Condemning the attack which left 17 soldiers killed and several injured, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the elements responsible for attack would be dealt with iron hands. Expressing heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families, the Deputy Chief Minister prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. He also wished early recovery of those injured in the same attack. President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri called the Uri attack by the terrorists an attack on national conscience and demanded and urgent review of our Defence systems, preparedness and fire power. He also said that the perpetrators should be severely dealt with along with the forces behind them. Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) today condemned Uri attack. The meeting strongly condemned terrorists' attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri near Linle of Control in which seventeen soldiers were killed and thirty injured. JKBWA termed the attack as a patt of Pakistan's larger game plan and urged the Indian Army to teach Pakistan such a lesson as it would remember ever after. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister and President Dogra Sadar Sabha expressed grief at the loss of lives of our gallant soldiers and his firm solidarity with our troops guarding the borders of the country on the LoC and International Border. Linking it up with the troubled conditions of Kashmir created by Pakistan's agents on her behest, he said our troops are faced with threat from the front as also from the anti-national elements within. NPP Supremo condemned brutal murder of Army soldiers from Bihar in Kashmir. Prof. Bhim Singh in a resolution demanded end of communal rule and demanded that Article 370 should be amended without any delay so that Jammu and Kashmir shall be integrated with the rest of the country. He demanded immediate end of Article 370 so that Jammu and Kashmir remains integrated with the rest of the country. Ten thousand people gathered at Vaishali passed a resolution demanding end of communal rule and one Constitution from Kashmir to Kanyakumari with one flag for the entire country. Thousands of people hailed Prof. Bhim Singh's resolution for integration of J&K with the rest of the country. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jammu Mahanagar held a protest at Central University of Jammu against Pakistan for cowardly terror attack on Army Headquarters by Pakistan based militants. Activists of ABVP also burned effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and raised Slogans like "Pakistan Murdabaad", "Indian Army Zindabaad", "Bharat Mata Ki Jai". Speaking to the media persons, Rajinder Kumar, President Central University of Jammu demanded stern action against those are responsible for this terror attack even there were specific intelligence inputs about a Fidayeen Militants attack. Displaced Kashmiri Sikh Conference (DKSC) while condemning the attack on Army in Uri sector of Kashmir Valley, said that the government of India, without wasting any more time should retaliate what Pakistan did. President of DKSC Harmmohinder Singh said that our leadership should take strict action to teach lesson to Pakistan, so that Uri like deadly attack could be prevented. Former Minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh condemned militant attack on brigade headquarter in Uri in strongest words. In his statement, Manjit Singh expressed grief over the loss of life and prayed for the martyrs and their families who lost brave soldiers in militant attack backed by Pakistan. Former Minister said that Pakistan has sponsored proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir against India and many a time such attacks have been foiled by brave Indian army soldiers. The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association held its meeting here, in which terrorists' attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri near Linle of Control was strongly condemned in which seventeen soldiers were killed and thirty injured. WELFARE SOCIETY GURU NANAK NAGAR JAMMU has expressed it's deep concern over the militant attack at Army Camp Uri Kashmir J&K, has paid tributes to the martyrs who are the true sons of Mother India, and has urged the central Government to suitably change it's policies and take appropriate remedial measures in order to avoid any such happening in future. Society has also extended it's condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs. |
