Programme on 'UN 17 Sustainable Goals' organized 9/19/2016 11:05:08 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 19: Gandhi Global Family in collaboration with Gandhi Peace Foundation under the aegis of United Nation Centre for India and Bhutan is working as a partner of United Nations. They are promoting United Nations 17 Sustainable Goals and have chosen 17 schools from Jammu and Kashmir for the same JK Public School, Kunjwani is one of them. A special assembly was organized in the school premises on this occasion. Padmashree S.P Varma , National Vice President, Gandhi Global Family apprised the students about the 'United Nations 17 Sustainable Goals.' He said that each one of us is a successor of Mahatma Gandhi who is no longer a name but an ideology. Therefore October 2ND is celebrated as 'International Non-Violence Day.' During the Programme, he chose JK Public School, Kunjwani to work on the 13th goal of United Nations Sustainable Goals, i.e 'Climate Action.' He organized a quiz session on General awareness on UN, Peace, Jammu and Kashmir and climate change for the students and awarded them with souvenirs.
