Declares Islamabad innocent, exposes himself | Geelani comes to Pak's rescue on Uri attack | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 19: In a bid to bail out Pakistan of the dreadful Uri attack, pro-Pak separatist Syed Ali Geelani has started creating confusion over the incident while striving to prove Pakistan innocent. In a statement issued to press, Geelani while exhibiting a dubious face before the people has in one breath condemned the Uri encounter while on the other side declared Pakistan's non-involvement into the entire scene. Masquerading as Pakistan's advocate, Geelani has appealed that Islamabad should not be blamed for the Uri attack. "We as human beings feel pain and with sincere heart believe to promote universal brotherhood. We never derive pleasure from human sufferings, and the forces personnel that lost their lives were humans. It is irony that Indian politicians without applying their reason jumped to conclusion and an ambiance and euphoric of war like situation was created and people were instigated and infused with illogical theories against neighbouring country Pakistan," reads Geelani's statement. What surprised many was how come Geelani is in possession of such intelligence inputs that he through a single statement has bailed out Pakistan from the entire issue. The common notion, after the statement was issued, was that it looked like Pakistan assigning Geelani a task to bail it out of the entire situation. "We need to maintain sense and balance while giving vent to our emotions. Leaders should follow set of scales of mind and they need to be realistic in such volatile situations. Why they see all these episodes with the prism they like and why do not they follow the sensible and realistic approach before coming to conclusion," Geelani said. Furthermore, what revealed the true face of this Hurriyat hawk before the masses was how he in a same breath condemned the killing while declaring Pakistan innocent. "He (Geelani) is trying to shoot to birds with single stone. He is trying to prove Pakistan innocent while showing that he too is grieved at the loss of the soldiers' precious lives. What he failed to yield in his entire detailed statement was that he failed to prove that Pakistan isn't involved," says a Kashmir-based columnist. Geelani's such a sudden statement over Uri episode has further given people enough understanding that the old separatist is playing to galleries while masquerading as Kashmiri politician. "This is height of things. Geelani sitting in his home is striving to politicise the killing of the army personnel. He is using such unfortunate incident to prove his loyalty to Pakistan. In short he is trying to act more loyal than a king but fails to understand that people too are enough mature to understand his tricks," writes a netizen on social media here. |
