Mandi, Sept 19: After investment of crore of rupees, the primary health centre (PHC) Bedar is in defunct conditions. According to the report, PHC has single bed only. Locals of the area alleged that the health department has totally failed to provide necessities to the common masses. Iqbal Ahmed a local said that on many occasions they have approached to deputy commissioner Poonch Muhammad Harun Malik who directed chief medical officer for further necessary action, but CMO is looking involved in this matter so he is not taking initiative in this regard. Another Ghulam Qadar appealed to deputy commissioner Poonch and higher authorities to do the need of public full. He said the public comes here from far flung Dhoks for treatment where the doctors always remains absent from duty in this regards people suffer a much. Nazir Ahmed said there are many other transport and building facilities, but staff is ignoring the public. He said the building and ambulance is totally dysfunctional without services. They allegedly said they have also approached MLA Poonch in this regard. They warned that if their demands not be fulfilled as early as possible, they will come on roads for their rights. Interesting is that PHC has only one bed and authorities have not any care of it. When contacted, Director Health Jammu Dr Baljeet Singh Pathania assured that an action will be taken after in this regard and the issue of shortage of staff will be solved as soon as possible. |
