HC orders SSP to form SIT to find out kidnapped girl 9/19/2016 11:22:56 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 19 : High court judge B S Walia has directed SSP, Jammu, to constitute SIT to find out the minor girl who has allegedly been abducted by the respondents. The court directive came in a petition filed by the girl's father, seeking direction to police to secure the release of her daughter from the illegal custody of the respondents immediately and produce her before the court. The petitioner submitted that his 17-year-old daughter had been kidnapped and was in the illegal detention of respondents 4 to 7. He has already lodged an FIR No in this regard under sections 363, 109 and 343 of RPC on June 30, 2016 with Nowabad police station. He alleged that police were hand-in-glove with the respondents and even after two months of the abduction, police had failed to secure the release of his daughter from the illegal detention of respondents. He also submitted in the court the copies of date of birth certificate of his daughter and FIR. Justice Walia, after hearing the two sides, directed SSP, Jammu, to constitute a SIT to conduct raids at the places wherever there was likelihood of the petitioner's daughter being found.
