Sham condemns police lathicharge on PHE daily wagers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 20: Senior Vice President JKPCC & Former Minister Sham Lal Sharma voiced concern over the lathicharge made on PHE Daily wagers/Casual labours/Need basis/ITI trained who were carrying out peaceful demonstration for their long pending demands relating to regularization and release of outstanding wages. Sham lambasted on BJP-PDP government for their callous attitude towards the genuine demands of Daily wagers/Casual labours/Need basis/ITI trained. He further said that these daily wagers were earlier on indefinite strike. At that time the PHE Minister and local administration met these agitating workers and assured them that their demands will be fulfilled with in three months. Sham said that on the assurance of higher authorities the Daily wagers/Casual labours/Need basis/ITI trained with drew there agitation. Despite the assurance given by the PHE Minister and local administration, the demands haven't been fulfilled. He said that since the demands weren't fulfilled the workers took out peaceful procession and they were lathicharged by the police there by depriving them of basic fundamental rights. Sham Lal Sharma expressed his concern over the injustice done with these Daily wagers/Casual labours/Need basis/ITI trained. |
