Former Rector Kathua misused official vehicle, logbook missing RTI exposes JU VC's honesty claims 9/21/2016 12:27:29 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 20: A RTI has exposed the hollowness of Jammu University Vice Chancellor's honesty claims as the logbook of Kathua campus where official vehicle was mussed was found missing. Sources revealed that during the year 2006 to 2008 when Ram Ji Dass Sharma who is now Vice Chancellor of the Jammu University and the former Rector Kathua campus misused his official vehicle and after getting promoted as Vice Chancellor of the varsity he allegedly concealed the logbook of his official vehicle to avoid any inquiry against him. Sources further revealed that an RTI was filed by an RTI activist seeking copy of logbook of the Kathua campus but the information was provided to the RTI activist. After that, the RTI activist moved his application to first appellate authority who directed the PIO to provide information to the information seeker for providing the information. After directions of First Appellate Authority, PIO replied that there is information of the log book of Kathua campus. Sources further claimed that after allegations were started levelling against the then Rector Kathua campus (2006 to 2008) for misusing his official vehicle he concealed the logbook of the Kathua campus during the year 2006 to 2008. A senior faculty member pleading anonymity claimed that if the Vice Chancellor is honest then why he has not initiated any inquiry in this regard after came to know that the logbook of the Kathua campus is missing.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
