Height of insensitive: Nation mourning Uri attack BJP minister enjoying Ladakh Festival 9/21/2016 12:27:02 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 20: It is result of the influence of power that a senior BJP minister and the self-styled nationalist leader, is enjoying Ladakh festival at the crucial time when whole nation is mourning the martyrdom of 18 soldiers of the Army who lost their lives in Uri terror attack on Sunday. For the BJP minister Ladakh festival is so important that neither he attended wreath lying ceremony at Srinagar nor he spared time from his precious busy schedule to attend cremation of any of two brave hearts, who belonged to Jammu region. Nationalist people of Jammu were expecting that "hardcore nationalist" leader would be at Army headquarters at Srinagar on Mondaymorning to participate in wreath lying ceremony for the martyr soldiers along with Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti but they were shocked to know that BJP minister has straightway flew away to Leh to participate in Ladakh festival to enjoy pleasant weather. The BJP minister, who represents Jammu region in the government, could not spare time from his over-busy schedule to receive body of any of the martyr of Jammu region. Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh cancelled his crucial tours of US and Russia after Uri terror attack but the BJP Minister in J&K, where incident took place, could not postpone his Leh visit because for his enjoying luxuries being provided by the Tourism Department were more important then paying tributes to the soldiers. Ladakh Festival is organized by Tourism Department and the BJP Minister is not holding portfolio of Tourism but still he gave importance to festival instead of sharing grief with the families of martyrs at the time of crisis. Credible sources in the BJP said that some party leaders had suggested the BJP leader to cancel his Leh visit because mood in the country is not favourable for holding festival at a time when whole nation is in mourning but the BJP leader did not pay any heed towards the suggestion.
