DDC chairs DLRC, RSETI meets | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Sept 20: District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz with bankers and district officers today finalised opening of six new J&K Bank branches and four ATMs especially in rural areas to facilitate the people. The six new bank branches shall be opened at Chambalwas, Senabati, Kanthi, Halla, Gandhari and Rajgarh and Automated teller Machines (ATMs) at Tethar, Ramsoo, Ukhral and Ramban which shall provide banking and transaction facility to people of 7 blocks in the entire district. The meeting was informed that 71 beneficiaries have been provided educational loans from different banks besides registering 8160 people for Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Suraksha Bima Yojana schemes and 471 under Atal Pension Yojana (APY) so far. Efforts are afoot to cover all households under these flagship schemes with the help of financial literacy camps organised on regular basis. Threadbare discussion was held on various issues pertaining to the loans given for operating income generating units. It was also elucidated by the officers that some cases have been kept pending by the various bank branches. |
