AJKAOWF calls on Minister | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Oct 11: A delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF) led by its President Vijay Upadhaya met the Minister for Agriculture today at Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Jammu. The delegation apprised the Minister regarding filling of piled up vacancies at all levels due to retirements and non-filling of posts because of non-conduct of DPC since last three decades. The department is running on additional / multiple charges restored to a few officers. Whereas, common masses are deprived of their due and are stuck on entry level posts since decades. The matter was taken up with the APD vociferously by AJKAOWF. Minister for Agriculture took cognizance of the matter and process of streamlining on basis of "One Man One Post" was earnestly taken up by the directorate and proposal submitted to the APD. Minister assured the delegation that it will be shortly implemented.. HAM was also apprised regarding grant of Assured Career Progression (ACP) in light of review meeting of CM as there is worst stagnation in Agriculture Department. Further, ICAR's notification no: F. No. Edn./13/1/2016-HRD; dt: 6th October, 2016 declaring B. Sc. Agriculture as professional degree like Medicos, ISM and Veterinarians supports and strengthens our long pending demand to grant running grades to Gazetted Agriculture Cadre at par with veterinarians. Delegation was elated by the sympathetic hearing of the minister. The delegation thanked the minister for passing on the baton to one of the most experienced and competent officer A. K. Malhotra and assured that under his able guidance the department will reach new heights and bring glory to the profession as well. The minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and gave assurance to take up the matter regarding grant of ACP and rational deployment on all the levels. |
