SHO gets stuck in his own 'cobweb' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: A police station SHO laid a trap for his relative, but got exposed and was ultimately struck in his own 'cobweb'. A few days back, a sensational matter was reported at a police station here. Acting on the complaint, police picked up two-three persons and put them to sustained questioning, police sources said. However, when a senior police officer enquired about the matter on his own, he discovered that there was something fishy in it. "In the senior officer's probe, the matter was found to be quite different from the one the concerned police had projected at the higher level," the sources added. A CID report submitted by the field staff to their higher-ups also dealt with the matter in detail, saying that the concerned police had given investigation a wrong direction, sources said. It was found that the SHO had conspired to trap his own relative only because he, along with others, had earlier complained against him. He got the case registered against them at another police station so that the needle of suspicion 'does not point to him as and when the matter gets public'. "The secret reports of senior officer and CID have straightway blamed the SHO for hatching a conspiracy to trap his relative because of an old enemity with him. This way the SHO has got stuck in his own trap," sources claimed. |
