| Dump of garbage in nullah causing ugly look to highway town | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Oct 11 : Garbage dumping through municipality in a nullah flowing from the center of the town causes the ugly look of highway town Banihal.
The water of this Chanjloo nullah flowing through from main market also converted in to dirt and become the non usable for the locals .
Locals said that during the past some ten years ago people of the area were using this water of nullah for bathing and other purposes but from past more than one decade this water has changed into slush and dirt.
They said that the sweepers of the municipality clean the market and throw the whole garbage of town into this flowing nullah from the bridge which passes through the main market of the Banihal town.
The dumping of this garbage also creates problems to the shopkeepers as well as pedestrians passing from this area. Locals of the town said that this garbage dump also has changed the beauty of this highway town into an ugly look.
It pertinent to mention that municipal committee Banihal have no garbage dumping yard in the area and also shortage of sweepers are also the main causes of this negligence. |
