Kathua, Oct 15: Excise and Taxation Department today organised one day long awareness programme for GST at Kathua wherein Assistance Commissioner Excise taxation Kanchan Bala was chief guest and main resource person of the programme. Businessmen hailing from entire district kathua participated in the programme and waked about policies under GST.
Asstt Comm. Afsha Masood, CTO Sania Haq Khan, CTO Meenakshi Jasrotia, CTO RK Badgal, CTO Gurprinder singh and inspector Sachin Gupta were also present and delivered lecture on GST and its policies.
While addressing on the occasion, Kanchan Bala Asstt. Commissioner said ,"GST would implement soon in Jammu and Kashmir either in modified form". The officer suggested to welcome GST and aware all to apply GST in the business .
She highlighted number of benefits being given under GST and informed that teams had been framed in entire districts to aware the businessmen and common masses about GST. Training sessions to train officers about GST are also going on in all the three provinces of the state, she added. |
