| Housewife succumbs to critical burns | | |

Srinagar, Oct 15: A 35 year-old house wife who suffered severe burn injuries last week and was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu succumbed today during her treatment.
"The deceased has been identified as Rajni Devi (35) wife of Pritam Lal of Batara Chak Bishnah, police sources said.
Sources said that Rajni suffered burn injuries at his residence under mysterious circumstances October 8 and was shifted to GMC&H Jammu for specialized treatment for her critical burn injuries. Police sources quoting medical experts stated that the victim had suffered 90 percent burn injuries and today morning she failed to respond the treatment. "After legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites, they added. Meanwhile a case in this connection stands already registered while further investigation is on to ascertain circumstances under which Rajni suffered fatal burns. |
