| Naka Majhari locals reel under darkness | | | M S Nazki

Mendhar, Oct 15: Naka Majhari a remote village in Mendhar Tehsil under block Balakote is reportedly reeling under darkness for the last two months due to the fault in local transformer the locals said here today.
'We have been approaching several times to the concerned AEE PDD and other officials but our plea fall falt to deaf ears," said a local of Naka Majhari Village. They do not pay any heed to our pleas," said another villager.
The whoe area under Panchayat Naka Majhar rels under darkness for the last two months but no official even bothered to take on spot stock of situation alleged the locals. They said that no efforts were made to get defunct transformer of the area repaired or replaced they further added.
Many locals alleged that if some how the transformer gets repaired too, it will develop fault again as the condition of the transformer is very bad, they said while expressing their resentment.
Mendhar Youth club chairman advocate Nadeem Khan has appealed to district administraton and Chief Engineer PDD Jammu to take cognizance of matter and restore the power supply of the area to ease the problem of people of this village, he added. |
