| KVM takes up development issues with MLA Kathua | | | Early Times Report
kathua, Oct 20: A deputation of Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) Kathua led by Ram Murti Sharma President of the Manch called on Rajiv Jasrotia MLA Kathua at his public relation office here and submitted a reminder of development related issues already taken up with him.
While seeking his attention towards various projects, the members of the manch demanded the continuity of already undertaken establishment work of Inter State Bus Stand at Kathua, Establishment of MCCH Hospital Kathua for which DPRs are under process and NOC has been issued for transfer of land of Government Girls Higher Secondary School and Govt. Middle School Kathua 'A' to Mahatma Gandhi Child and Maternity Hospital Kathua and Construction of two additional bridges for connecting two Wands/Parts of the Kathua city one at Dream Park & the other near Maha Kaleshwar Temple Krishna Colony to provide convenient approach between Ward No-3 & 4 (Krishna Colony) and Ward No-14, New Fruit Mandi (Bharmora) .
They also reiterated the demand of proper planning and execution of proposed Master Plan project for Kathua, Provision of Toilet blocks and parking zones near Shaheedi Chowk and other identified sites within MC Kathua and Construction of Passenger Shed near Distt. Hospital Kathua on National Highway A1. The attention of the MLA was specifically drawn towards proper development cum maintenance of adjoining area of Bowlies in Ward No. 02, Kathua through Department of Parks, Tourism, Floriculture and Social Forestry.
The members of the Manch stressed upon the need of developing erstwhile Pond near Kali Bari (Opposite Petrol Pump) as Recreational Park/Heritage pond , installation of purified water plants at busy locations and proper disposable of garbage near Jasrotia Clinic.
MLA Rajiv Jasrotia gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured early redressal of the projected demands. He apprised the deputation that the establishment work of ISBT, Govt. Medical College , Govt Engineering College , District Offices Complex, Construction of Toilets blocks , additional Bridges over Kathua Khaad, and Provisional of additional Street Lights will be started soon.
The deputation comprised of Saroop Chander, Pitamber Dutt Sharma, Babu Ram Bhagat, Bansi Lal Gupta, Khem Raj Sharma, Col.(Retd.) Ved Parkash Sharma, Rajeev Mahajan, Daya Nand Sharma , Mahipal Sharma , Kapil Dev Sharma etc. |
