'Top officials under scanner' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 20: The government sacking thirteen employees has sent a tough message that there would be no compromise with the people who support separatists and terrorists in Kashmir. "It's not for the first time that government officials were involved in the anti-India activities. There are many top officials, who too are on the radar. But, earlier no one touched them. The Home ministry this time has made it clear to the state government such activities won't be tolerated," said a senior official. Sources, said the directions to terminate "anti-national" employees were issued about one-month back but the state government initially showed some reluctance. "The state government, especially the PDP leadership, was initially of the opinion to let people protest for some time, despite having full knowledge about the fact that government officials were also involved. However, when things crossed the threshold it decided to go ahead and take a tough call. It was unprecedented step. It's a now the battle of nerves and this is the time, when Indian writ has to be stamped in a hard way," said an official. |
