39 Govindsar residents test positive for Pyrexia | Experts take water & blood samples | | Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 20: Panic gripped Govindsar and Barnoti villages of Kathua as 36 persons showed symptoms of Pyrrxia . A tesm of experts from Health Department rushed to the affected villages for collecting water and blood samples. According to reports, more than 100 people have fell sick under mysterious circumstances. Slamming the attitude of the Health Ministry, residents of the villages are worried and said they rmare suffering from unidentified disease and its graph is increasing. The matter was brought the notice of the concerned fortimely action. "If the Health department fails to take quick action, the villagers have to face huge loss due to the disease and it might also spread to neighbouring villages," residents said adding that Health Ministry should take it serious and special camp to be conducted within days to diagnose the disease. When contacted Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kathua, Raj Kumar Sangra said that on Wednesday a team had visited at village Govindsar, Kathua where the residents were suffering with high Fever, Joint Pain and Skin rashes. "99 samples were collected by the team in which 39 were infected with above said disease, "Sangra said. Director Health Services, Dr Gurjeet Singh Sudan said that special team from Kathua visited the villages and continuously eyeing on the disease and providing all required help to them. |
