| Mysterious Chicken disease spreads in Mendhar | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Mar 11: People feel scared as some mysterious disease among chicken have been spread in Mendhar and surrounding villages for the last quite some time source said here today. They said for the last few days a mysterious disease has claimed a heavy toll of chicken in Mendhar and other villages including kalaban, Chhatral, Chak Banola, Sagra, Ghani, Harni, Sanjot, Sadot, Balakot and other hamlets falling close to the town.
Locals while revealing to Early Times said that during the initial stage appearing of pimples type dots develop on the skin of chicken which instantly turn red. After that the chicken die. We have no facility of veterinary here to find out the reason behind the disease said a local resident of Mendhar.
Social worker of the area Rameez Raja in an appeal urged concerned authorities to depute a team of experts to the area which can find out the causes that were responsible for the death of Chicken in the area. He said dying of the chicken was set back to local populace as they depend upon them by selling their eggs etc to manage their basic needs.
