| Sunderbani encounter: Area sanitization operation called off, ammunition recovered | | |

JAMMU, Mar 29: Security forces on Thursday called off its area sanitization operation at the site of Wednesday's encounter in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district where four foreigner terrorists were killed while arms and ammunition belonging to militants were recovered from the area.
After killing all the four terrorists on Wednesday evening, a major area-sanitization operation was started by Rajouri police in coordination with other security agencies and a team of police.
During the area sanitization, one square kilometre area of the encounter site was put to searches and frisking to ensure that no militant's arms, ammunition or any other belonging is left behind and after clearance, area sanitization was called off on Thursday evening. |
