Jammu, Mar 29: IECS Polytechnic Purkhoo Camp, Domana organized extension lectures and workshops.
An Extension Lecture on topic "Modernization in Automobile Sector" was also delivered by Er. Rahul Verma, Manager, State Motor Garages, J&K. Another Extension Lecture was also delivered by Prof. K.R. Sharma, Rtd. Principal, Govt. Polytechnic Jammu on topic "Refrigeration and Air Conditioner" for the students of Mechanical Engineering Department followed by a motivational videos on engineering achievements in Mechanical Engineering field shown by Er. H.N. Bhat, HOD Mechanical.
One day workshop on topic Computer Hardware was conducted by IIHT, Jammu for the students of Computer, IT and Electronics & Communication Engineering Department. Another workshop was also conducted by Er. Hajinder Singh Sr. Trainer Jetking Pvt. Ltd. on topic "Computer Networking and its Applications" followed by a Extension Lecture on "Confidence Building", "Body Language" and "Career Counseling for IT Sector" by Er. Naveen Sharma, Director, Jetking Pvt. Ltd.
A Personality Development Workshop on the topic "How to prepare for Interviews & Resume Making" was also conducted by Mrs. Priya Raina, Trainer, AMISOFT Pvt. Ltd.
Er. Ajay Jamwal, Dean Administration-cum-Training & Placement asserted that these workshops and extension lectures were very informative and exhaustive in nature which provides maximum technical exposure to polytechnic students and groom overall personality of students.
Prof. K.G. Gupta, Principal, IECS appreciated the efforts of training & placement cell, and Amit Sharma, Vice-Principal-cum-HOD, Computer Sciences Department and Er. H.N. Bhat, HOD Mechanical Department for coordinating all these extension lectures and workshops for the benefit of polytechnic students and making them more compatible with today's industrial requirement. |
