PLS organizes fortnightly literary meet

Jammu, Apr 8: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu today organized its fortnightly literary meet at Tagore Academy, Rani Talab, Digiana, Jammu.
S. M S Kamra presided over the meeting, Dr. Monojit, President, PLS welcomed all the guests and writers and emphasized on the future activities of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu. A session of poetry recitation with the recitation of poetry by Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Amar Singh Kuka, Harjit Singh Uppal, Jang S. Verman, Resham Kaur Resham, Ratan Singh Kanwal, Kulwant and M S Kamra was conducted in the meeting. The poetry was associated with various issues of social awareness, values, religious spirit and satire on the prevailing conditions and the political system. Hardeep Singh Deep participated in the discussions during the meet.
Discussion on the items presented in the meeting, took place n which S. Paiara Singh Dhanjal, S. Rajinder Singh, S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik and Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina expressed their views. In his presidential address M S Kamra appreciated the poetry presented by the poets. He said that he enjoyed the poetry and felt proud of joining the fortnightly literary meeting of PLS.
A two minutes silence was observed to condole the demise of Bhai Aya Singh father S. Ajit Singh Mastana, a noted Punjabi writer from Kashmir. Bhai Aya Singh expired at the age of 104 years after active life of religious practices and spreading the word of Sikh teachings. S. Ajit singh is also known for his contribution in the field of religious and social service as well contributing in the field of Punjabi literature. S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik conducted the proceedings of the meeting. S. Harjit Singh Uppal extended the Vote of Thanks.
