Jammu, Apr 8: Dogra Front today expressed resentment against the settlement of Rohingyas in Jammu. They also took out a rally in Jammu city demanding deportation of Rohingyas. President of Front Ashok Gupta said that settlement of Rohingyas is a plan to change the topography of Jammu as all these people have been settled in a circle around Jammu. One of the minister in the current government is a very strong supporter of these Rohingyas as he has always been boasting them. He further alleged that Rohingyas have encroached the state land and made their 'jhuggis' (huts) upon them. Several thousands of Rohingya immigrants, who were forced to leave their native land, entered India through porous Indo-Bangladesh border. Reportedly, many Burmese families had unlawfully settled in the outskirts of Jammu city during last three years or so. The party people who were present at the time of protest were Monu, Kala, Dinesh, Rakesh, Bantu, Prithvi, Som Dutt, Ajay, Abhishek and various others were present. |
