Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 8:Martyr day of Veer Ram Chander who laid down his life for educating downtrodden class, was observed at Batehra, a village on Jammu-Akhnoor Road by Arya Samaj Dayanand Marg, City Chowk, Jammu. Prominent Arya Samaj Scholars Prof. Ved Ghai, Vidhya Bhanu Shastri, Dr Ram Pratap and Dr Pratibha Purandhi paid rich tributes to Veer Raam Chandra for his contribution in upliftment of downtrodden people of the society and removal of untouchability. Children of Arya Girls High School Kachi Chawni and Batehra gave rich tribute to Veer Ram Chander ji by songs, speeches, bhajans. On this occasion, a medical camp was organised by Batra Medical College in which about 200 persons were checked for their eye problems and approximately 100 children were checked by Pediatricians. This medical camp was arranged by active assistance of Dr Kulbushan Mahotra, Senior Vice President of Arya Samaj with competent team of doctors from Batra Medical College, Sidhra.
