| SDH Mendhar facing acute shortage of staff | | 23 posts of doctors, 93 posts of paramedical lying vacant | |  Early Times Report
Mendhar, Apr 9: The 30-bedded sub District Hospital in Mendhar has been facing acute shortage of staff including doctors, paramedics and diagnostic equipments for the last fifteen years.
Sources informed Early Times that out of 29 posts of doctors, 23 have been lying vacnt whereas out of 312 posts of paramedical staff 93 have been lying vacant for the last many years. The hospital has no facility of digital X-ray machine and the sonography machine is also non-functional. There is no ortho and ENT specialists in the SDH Medhar for the last quite some time.
"We have to go for treatment to Rajouri District Hospital or GMCH Jammu in emergency cases as well as normal cases some times as there were no basic facilities available in this hospital" said a President Kissan Mazdoor Unioun mendhar Majid Khan Boby. When contacted Block Medical Officer Mendhar Parvez Ahmed Khan said that they have time and again forward communiqués to the concerned authorities but they are yet to be materialized. |
