Reasi, Apr 8: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JK-SSC) run State Football Academy (SFA) blown trumpet in Reasi district with the launch of district football unit of SFA on Saturday at Reasi. On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babu Ram was the Chief Guest while as Joint Secretary Shiv Kumar Sharma, District Officer Youth Services and Sports Reasi, and Professor Department of Economics SMVDSB Katra, Dr. Vishist were the Guests of Honour.m The event was also graced by the presence of Executive Officer of SFA, Majid Yousuf, Head Coach SFA, Satpal Singh, Senior Coach SFA, Vishwamitra, SFA Coaches Sanjay Kumar, Pooja Rani and Khushboo Salpona. The event was coordinated by Rahul Bakshi. During the event, the guests on the occasion distributed uniforms, and sports equipments among 65 selected players of SFA Reasi, who were shortlisted among 150 participants during selection trials. Many parents who were present during launch said that it was for the first time that professional football academy was set up in Reasi. "We're extremely happy that a professional academy was launched here and it will definitely prove fruitful to the youth of Reasi," they said. Moreover, SFA is eyeing to establish more district football units in pending districts of both Jammu and Kashmir provinces to complete the target of Mission-22. Executive Officer of SFA, said, "SFA unit will act as major football training institute and provide budding players a platform to prepare for mega competitions at National and International level." Pertinently, the Mission-22 is initiated by JKSSC and SFA with complete support from Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA). The entire process is run and managed by Chief Executive Officer of SFA, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para and the setup is headed by renowned footballer Mehraj-Ud-Din Wadoo. |
