NSF intensifies protest for CBI enquiry in Rasana case | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 24:Intensifying its movement to provide justice to the victim of rape-cum-murder case in village Rasana, the National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged strong protest demonstration here today under the leadership of Govind Virdhi, District President NSF. Addressing the protesters, Govind Virdhi said that government should honour the public sentiment and order a CBI probe so as to identify the actual culprits, without fear or favour, and to accord them exemplary punishment. Govind also said, "There is not an iota of doubt about the brutality to which the little girl was subjected. Every citizen of Jammu condemns this incident and seeks death penalty to the person who committed this heinous crime. But, the way the Crime Branch probed this case raised suspicion among the people of Jammu." He pointed out that when one section of state Police Department was reportedly found incompetent by the government to handle this case in the beginning, how the Home Department under the nose of Mehbooba Mufti can convince people of Jammu for fair investigation by the same police in the name of Crime Branch. |
