Inter School Zonal Level Competitions gets undeway

Jammu, May 1: The Inter School Zonal Level Competitions in the Sports disciplines of Kho- Kho. Kabbadi, Volleyball and Wrestling, U/14,U/17 Boys got underway today here at Govt. Boys High School Jammu Cantt.
In all 295 boys drawn from Govt. and Private Institutions of Satwari Zone are taking part in the two days long competitions. The competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Jammu districts under the overall supervision of Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu while the Poonam Kotwal ZPEO Satwari is the organizing secretary of the event. Earlier the competitions were declared open by Raj Rani Head Master Govt. Boys High School Jammu Cantt. in a simple and well attended function.
While addressing the participants she urged the participants to take part in the sports activities of the department which is very essential for the growth and development of the body. She further said that sound mind lies in a sound body and the sports are the only medium through which you can build your stamina and strength. Matches were officiated by Hardev Singh, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Amit Kumar, Rajeev Kumar, Harpreet Bhalla, Popinder Kour, Pushpinder Singh and Vishal.
