Two persons were arrested and
56 kg of Poppywas seized in separate incidents in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said today.A police party intercepted a truck on the Jammu-srinagar Highwayand found 46 kg of the contraband inside the vehicle, they said.
The truck Drivermanaged to escape from the spot, the police said.
In another incident, a truck was intercepted in Chenani area and 10 kgs of Poppywas seized upon searching the vehicle.
Its DriverTalib Hussainand ConductorSonuwere arrested, the police said.
