JAMMU, May 21: The coaching camp for the 5th Asian Senior Poomsae Championship-2018 was organized first time in J&K by Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) in collaboration with J&K Taekwondo Association concluded here today.
The camp began on May 14 at MA Stadium Jammu and Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha Parade Jammu.
Best 28 players of India team attended the camp and trained under the Grandmaster Lee Wan Yong, Korean Coach and Atul Pangotra Taekwondo Coach J&K State Sports Council, who is also participating in Asian Taekwondo Championship. Indian Team will participate in Asian Taekwondo championship in Hochiminh City, Vietnam from May 22 to May 29.
After finishing Poomsae event, Atul Pangotra will be assisting Indian Kyorugi Team from May 26 to 29.
The selected Poomsae players for 5th Asian Senior Poomsae Championship- 2018 which is going to be held at Hochiminh City, Vietnam included Male Individual Under 30 yrs: Rahul Jain- Maharashtra, Female Under 30 yrs :Mamta Shah- KCC Delhi, Male Individual Under 40 yrs: Atul Pangotra- J&K, Female Under 40 yrs: Prajakta- Maharashtra, Female Individual under 50 yrs: Savitri Pradhan- Sikkim, Male Individual under 60 yrs: Trilok Subba- Sikkim, Male Individual over 65 yrs: Ram Gopal Bajpai, Pair Under 30 yrs: Danial Lalthumthanga- Mizoram and Anamika Walia- Haryana, Pair Over 30 yrs: Amit Pradhan- Sikkim and Pempa Dolma Tamang- Sikkim, Team Under 30 yrs Male: Pankaj Kumar- Delhi, Bhove Singh- Services and Dinku Singh- Services, Team Over 30 yrs Male: Atul Pangotra- J&K, N Balakrishnan- Services and Anit Arjun Bhagat- Services while Team under 30 yrs Female: Madhu Kumari- SSB, Ankita Kadam- Maharastra and Harsha Singha- Assam.
The selected players for New Poomsae include Individual Male: Gourav Singh- KCC Delhi, Individual Female: P Selvarsi- Pudducherry, Team Male: Gourav Singh- KCC Delhi, Manoj Kumar KCC Delhi ,Lalthlampuia Mizoram, Female Team: Shweta Sharma- KCC Delh , Shilpa Thapa- KCC Delhi and Sulochna Limbu- Sikkim
The India team will depart for venue on May 22 along with Prabhat Kumar Sharma Secretary General TFI. |
