Jammu, May 21: Apparently, showing thumb to Raj Bhawan's order not to go for policy matter, the adamant, caretaker Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu same day released list of eligible candidates for various posts. According to sources, the Principal Secretary to Governor, Umang Narula on May 17 wrote a fresh letter to University authorities directing not to go for any policy matter, till new VC assumes loffice. "In continuation to our earlier letters dated 28th February, 2018 and 12th April, 2018, It has been desired that the processes of recruitment, promotion and selection in the context of Teaching as well as Non-Teaching positions in the University shall not be carried on till the new Vice Chancellor enters upon the office", copy of letter written to VC JU, dated 17/05/2018. Earlier, the Raj Bhawan, and State Government, through separate communications had asked JU authorities keep all recruitments viz teaching and non-teaching on hold. Paradoxically, the same day when Raj Bhawan again reminded JU, particularly, caretaker VC, Prof R D Sharma not to go-ahead for recruitment, the University released lists of eligible candidates for various posts. "Prof R D Sharma is in hurry, to pave way for his blue eyed, Neeraj Sharma who is among the eligible candidates for the post of Director College Development Council, serial number 22", they said. How respect, the VC has for the Governor who is Chancellor of the University could be gauged from the fact that, he did not undo the misdeed he committed. "Still the lists are available on University's website", they said and added, if the University same day prevented by Raj Bhawan, VC showing respect to Governor, should alteast remove the lists from website. |
