| Sanjhi Ram's daughter stops moving train | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: While the senior Bharatiya Janta Party leader and former minister Choudhary Lal Singh was marching ahead towards Hiranagar from Lakhanpur during his Dogra Swabhiman rally to press for the demand of conducting a CBI probe into Rasana case yesterday, the daughter of Sanjhi Ram, main accused in the infamous Rasana case, along with other women stopped a moving train at Londi Morh.
Raising slogans and demanding CBI inquiry in Rasana case, the daughter of Sanjhi Ram and the women along with her stood in front of the moving Archana Express train due to which it had to be halted for about ten minutes at Londi Morh.
It is pertinent to mention here that the people of Hiranagar and its vicinity are observing a chain hunger strike for the last about 50 days at Kootah Morh in order to press for the demand of a CBI probe in Rasana case.
On Sunday, a group of people along with Sanjhi Ram's daughter carrying a tricolor as well as a stick with a red piece of cloth tied on it left the venue, where the hunger strike is being observed and headed towards Londi Morh.
After reaching Londi Morh, the protesting people led by Sanjhi Ram's daughter waved tricolour and red coloured cloth which prompted the train driver to apply breaks and halt the moving train heading for Jammu from Pathankot.
Following the train's stoppage, the protesters demanding CBI probe in Rasana case staged a demonstration in front of it. In between, the driver of the train kept on pressing the hooter but the agitated people didn't relent and went on with their protest due to which remained stationed there for few minutes. |
