Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: Resignation of Sham Lal Sharma from the post of the Senior Vice President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has exposed anti-Jammu mindset of the party leaders at the helm of the affairs. Sham Lal Sharma, who is known as voice of Jammu, is reportedly to force to quit as PCC Senior Vice President due to attitude of some senior party leaders including some central leaders, who wanted to convert party J&K unit as one of the off-shoots of Hurriyat Conference.
Credible sources said that voice of Sham Lal Sharma was reportedly stifled by some central and state leaders whose only concerned is to make this grand old party as Kashmir centric. Such leaders are only concerned about their respective assembly seats without caring secular character of the party.
Credible sources said that during the last couple of months, these leaders were indulged into hatching conspiracy to make Congress as B Team of Hurriyat Conference and a pro-Jammu voice like Sham Lal Sharma was feeling suffocated because whenever he (Sham Lal Sharma) raised any issue pertaining to Jammu region his voice was stifled by some communal leaders in the party.
Credible sources said that recently Sham Lal Sharma has raised his voice against discrimination with Jammu region in recruitment and other selections but instead of giving serious thought to his concern, some leaders gave it another colour.
Credible sources said that J&K Congress these days have completely turned into a B Team of Hurriyat Conference. It was two Congress legislators, who gave communal colour to the Rassana incident and disclosing identity of the victim. Not only Sham Lal Sharma, many Jammu based party leaders are felling suffocated in the prevailing circumstances because party has been hijacked by communal elements-both at Delhi and in J&K.
