Lal Singh's rally gives sleepless night to BJP leaders | Party's Sunderbani function could not mobilize support of over 1000 gathering. Top BJP leadership attended Sunderbani function, especially organized to counter Lal Singh's rally | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 21: Although Choudhary Lal Singh has not revealed his future plan, the public support being received by the former forest minister has given sleepless nights to leaders of BJP as well of other parties. Publically BJP leaders could not get guts to oppose Lal Singh's campaign to protect honour of the Dogras but internally they are hatching conspiracies to sabotage his on-going mass contact programme in which Singh has received over-whelming public response. BJP leadership has reason to be worried because on Sunday Choudhary Lal Singh had proved his popularity and mass base. On Sunday BJP organized three functions to sabotage Lal Singh's rally and main function was held at Sunderbani to welcome newly appointed state president Ravinder Raina. In Sunderbani function Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, Lok Sabha member Jugal Kishore Sharma and newly appointed BJP state president Ravindra Raina were present. Despite all efforts including government help the top BJP leadership could not mobilize gathering of more than 1000 people but in the Dogra Swabhiman Rally the turnout was unexpected. Similarly BJP organized two other functions only to counter Lal Singh's rally but that two functions also evoked very poor response. Credible sources said that senior BJP leaders are worried these days because Lal Singh, through his mass contact programme, has exposed that none of the BJP leader has base among people. Barring a couple of leaders, majority of the BJP MLAs had won 2014 assembly elections by riding on Modi wave but now situation has been changed. |
