| People stage protest against Municipal committee at Vijaypur | | |  Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, June 4: The shopkeepers of Vijaypur staged a strong protest demonstration against the officers of the Municipal Committee Vijaypur in district Samba here today.
Reports said that a team of the officers of the Municipal Committee Vijaypur launched anti encroachment drive in Vijaypur Bazar and removed illegal encroachment from the footpath and also remove the shed from the shops. The shopkeepers started protest against the officer of the Municipal Committee Vijaypur.
The shopkeepers alleged that the shopkeepers put the shed in their shops and the municipal committee removed the said shed. They alleged that those things which are out of encroachment area but Municipal committee are also breaking up with them. Later they went to SDM office Vijaypur and said that the officers of the Municipal committee removed those things not under the encroachment.
Executive Officer of Municipal Committee Vijaypur Daleep Raj said that the anti encroachment drive was carried out on the direction of DC Samba and SDM. He said that they have issued warning to the shoppers for last ten days to remove the shed put in front the shops but few shopkeepers removed the shed from the shops and few shopkeepers are not removed. |
