Rajouri, June 4: A terrible situation occurred at Sub District Hospital Sunderbani, where the 16 people injured in an accident were put in a pathetic condition, with no electricity available. The accident occurred at Siot on Rajouri-Shadra Sharief Road where a Tata-407 went topsy-turvy and rolled down the road leaving 20 injured, out of which four were referred to GMC, Jammu and remaining 16 to SDH, Sunderbani. The pathetic condition of the hospital was such that when 16 injured were brought there, they were left unattended in the scorching heat without fans working due to electricity failure and authorities in no mood to start generators. On learning about the incident, some media person rushed there and captured the condition of the patients in their cameras. The videos went viral on social media, annoying Dr Raghuvir Singh, Block Medical Officer. "How dare you take the video footage within the premises of the hospital? Stop it, or you will be thrown out of the hospital," the BMO shouted at the media persons when they asked him why electricity was not available in the hospital. The BMO also directed the media men to either take the permission of the Director Health or the Deputy Commissioner before entering the hospital in future. |
