Awareness programme "Save Environment Save Lives" organised | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, June 4: The Indian Council for Environ Legal Action (ICELA) Chapter Rajouri, International Human Development Forum, National Progressive Youth Organisation and the Civic Movement SANGARSH launched a Long Term Agenda with the theme "Save Environment Save Lives". In this concern inaugural program got organised at National Public Higher Secondary School, Rajouri in which the representatives of different organisations interacted with the young generation regarding the agenda. During the programme, eminent Social Activist Vikrant Sharma raised the concern of State of Emergency created due to rapid drastic changes in environment. Sharma raised the concern that human civilization has become the most endangered species due to undesirable changes taking place in environment. We must ensure the collective efforts to save our Mother Earth from extinction as per as the life is concerned and the framing of never ending long term agenda to take measures regarding environment protection is the only way of survival on this life planet, he added. District Convenor, ICELA Kanav Badyal claimed that the agenda aims to raise the concern among every individual regarding the changing scenario in the environment and danger of being getting extinct. Kanav stated that the agenda is having a priority of making a collaborative effort with the concerned departments for the protection of biotic and abiotic components of the environment. Kanav added that the agenda also aims for creating the community of Green Ambassadors/Commandos that shall work as the missionaries regarding environment protection. |
