Udhampur June 14:-Inspired by PM's 'Mann ki baat', wherein he assured to double the income of the farmers by 2022 and inspired them to switch over to organic farming, the farmers of Canthal, a remote village in Udhampur district have started growing seasonal vegetables using organic fertilizers alone.
Farmer said that they were inspired by PM's appeals to the farmers across the country to start organic farming and use only organic fertilizers to get higher and better yield. They are now growing seasonal vegetables through organic farming on larger scale and getting good purchase for their produce.
They also said that the staff and officers of the department of agriculture were also helping them in new practices in farming. |
