Lal Singh questions double speak of politicians over CBI enquiry
6/14/2018 11:34:57 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, June 14: Former Forest Minister Choudhary Lal Singh today said that those who have given-up and are content with grave discriminatory and biased attitude of the Kashmir based political parties will not forgiven by future generations.
"They will ask you where were you when we were called 'Pro-Rapists'. They will ask you why you remain silent and preferred staying home over participating in the movement for change, the change in the attitude of accepting even the gravest insult silently," said Choudhary Lal Singh. He added "How unfortunate is it that while no one in Kashmir demanded yet CBI was called in 6 times to investigate cases where people had doubts on the story of the state police, we are demanding and we are being denied the same? Why? Isn't this gross violation of the human rights? Isn't this blatant discrimination? If the state cares about the sentiments of the people of Kashmir valley, why should not people of Jammu region feel alienated and discriminated?"
"We are seeking CBI inquiry into Rasana Case. What is the harm if the state government is convinced that those who have been arrested are the ones who hatched the conspiracy and murdered the 8 year old Goddess? Not trusting a central investigating agency in the case of Jammu and calling it a premier agency in cases pertaining to Kashmir valley speaks in volumes about the discriminatory, communal and biased attitude of the Kashmir based political parties," said Choudhary Lal Singh. "I am reminded of how an ex-Chief Minister who spends most of his time on twitter called in CBI for almost every case where people had doubts in investigation in Kashmir valley and how he tweeted on April 9, 2018; "Shame on them and their political masters" for those Dogras who were protesting against the state government for its refusal to order CBI inquiry into the Rasana case. He is the same person who ordered CBI probe into the Shopian case and later, accepted its findings. When he did so, the credibility of all other institutions which had probed this case earlier was eroded. This is how the people of power have always behaved with Jammu region," said Choudhary Lal Singh. He said "If it is Kashmir, CBI is the only agency which reveals the truth but if it is Jammu, CBI has a bad track record. These double standards are intolerable. How long are we Dogras going to tolerate all this? Don't you think time has come to break the chains on our thought process and take this battle to its logical conclusion?" I repeat, Jammu will forgive all those leaders who are sitting silently and allowing the situation to take a turn towards worse." Choudhary Lal Singh appealed people of Jammu region to participate in the Mashaal Rally being held on June 27. "The rally shall start at around 6PM from Gandhinagar and after passing through Gandhinagar Last Morh, Apsara Road, Gol Market and Nanak Nagar shall culminate in Trikuta Nagar. Your participation would be equal to paying homage to the 8 year old goddess whose murder has united entire Jammu region," Choudhary Lal Singh said.
Choudhary Lal Singh addressed gatherings in Bhambla and Pouni areas. He was accompanied by Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu.
