Water crisis irks Jagti inmates | | | EarlyTimes Report
JAMMU, June 14:Inmates of Jagti migrant camp have been facing water crisis for the last couple of days but concenered authorities seems to be in deep slumber to mitigate the the problem of inmates in this scorching heat of summer. Despite spending Rs 6.5 lakh every month on the maintenance of the water supply scheme for inmates of Jagti camp,we have been facing severe water crisis all along these years but the PHE wing of Relief Organization have been pathetic and unmoved said social activist Sunil Pandita while talking to EarlyTimes. He said our pleas go unheard and no body bothers to ask the men at helms as for what reasons we suffer at the hands of PHE wing of Relief Organization which has utterly failed to maintain the smooth water supply to inmates of Jagti camp. We urge the Minister concerned to take immediate steps and direct the department to restore proper water supply to the colony without any further delay so that inmates could heave a sigh of relief in this scorching heat and humid weather of summer Sunil further added. |
