KVD Trust expresses concern over attempts to usurp its property
6/20/2018 11:15:15 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 20: Kailash Vidya Dham Trust expressesed concern over attempts, allegedly by RSS and its affiliates to usurp trust property by obstructing annual Hawan. Kailash Vidya Dham Trust, Chinore, Jammu, in an extraordinary meeting today unanimously passed a resolution condemning the machinations of RSS & its affiliates like VHP, Bajrang Dal etc to usurp the Trust's Ashram at Chinore, Jammu. Further, Trust members expressed anguish against these outfits for not allowing the Trust to perform annual Hawan on 19th & 20th June 2018 at the Ashram.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kachru, the Managing Trustee, explained how RSS and its affiliates were backing a so-called Sanyasi to take control of the Ashram with an ulterior motive of grabbing the property. He further added that Trustees held scores of meetings with various functionaries of RSS and its affiliates to apprise them of the factual position but to no avail. These outfits appear more interested in the property of the Trust than in the noble intent for which the Ashram was built. Usurping the property of a legally constituted Trust is normally indulged into by anti-social elements and property-mafia and not by organizations meant to work for laudable religious and social causes. Prof. AK Ogra, Trustee, recalled unpleasant experiences during Hawan held last year in the Ashram premises. The Trust was denied access to kitchen, rooms and even toilets to inconvenience the devotees who included many ladies. In a brazen disregard to religious sanctity, the premises were lent for a marriage function, performed to the accompaniment of DJ music and serving of prohibited stuff. Besides pursuing the case legally, it was unanimously decided to launch a massive campaign, from all media platforms, to apprise the public about such reprehensible acts indulged into by such unscrupulous elements.
